Vrin for Chael - Contest Entry

NO CRITS, and Fullview Please!!! I nearly died making this!

Wow it's finally finished. *brain hemmorages* This project took several days and a lot of sanity-cost to complete. I estimate it was about pi^5 hours. Chael, I know you designed this character and uploaded it to DA specifically because you KNEW I would be attracted to it and that it would destroy me!! YOU KNEW!! I'm onto you... :glare:

*laugh* Man. ok. This is 's mermaid character Vrin. She normally has huuuge wings (those black ones on her back), but I had to reduce them to make them fit the composition Hope that's ok!! I also broke out my "Under the Sea" Reference book to find some fun animals. All those sea critters *do* exist and their shapes and colours were taken from reference. (not poses!) I also had to mimick a photo in the book to figure out how to colour the upshot at the turtle.

AAGh. I worked *so* hard on this, I'm so glad it's done. It was a gigantic challenge but I learned a lot. [link] < -- I even uploaded a collection of detailed shots from this piece into scraps if you're interested. Since I worked so hard, I'm going to hand out a couple of cookies::
